Cream of the crop: Summer strawberry recipes

Take your pints of juicy berries and add them to these sweet treats

Strawberry and yogurt parfait

Ingredients
  • 1 1⁄2 cups fresh strawberries, diced (about 8 oz)
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 3⁄4 cup plain Balkan style yogurt
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1⁄4 cup honey
  • 1 cup granola

Ingredients
Toss the strawberries and maple syrup together in a small bowl. In a separate bowl, mix yogurt with vanilla until smooth.

Begin layering parfait glasses with about 1 tbsp of yogurt followed by 2 tbsp strawberries and 2 tsp of drizzled honey; top with 2 tbsp of granola. Repeat layers a second time and garnish with remaining strawberries.

Makes 4 4-oz parfaits

    I made the Watermelon salad with celery with grapefruit and pruims. I didn't had a watermelon. It was delicious. Marion van de Voort, Holland, Europe
