Raid your grandmother's sewing basket for old bits of lace you can use to add dainty touches to your table

“I’ve loved old lace since I discovered a pile of tangled pieces in a trunk belonging to my grandmother years ago,” says talented stylist Tanya Goodwin, who came up with these ideas. Be on the lookout for vintage or antique lace in any shape or form. Don’t be afraid to snap up an inexpensive old tablecloth or lace-trimmed sweater, cut off fragments, leave their beautiful raw edges and reinvent them as something entirely new.

Measure your table, then cut a length of fabric from an old lace curtain to create a beautiful table runner.

Use any odd bits of lace to tie around table napkins and create delicate dinner party place settings to welcome friends and family.
