Dress up your home for Halloween

With a little imagination, you can bring Halloween elements into every room

It doesn’t take much to bring Halloween spirit into a room. In the Patenaudes’ minimal kitchen (shown above), for example, bringing home the season is as easy as setting out some clear containers full of Halloween candy, a couple of vintage decorations, and an orange kettle and bowl. Their bright effect makes a dramatic focal point in an otherwise neutral room, and helps to visually warm up the space.

A plain white bathroom is the perfect canvas for Halloween whimsy. Invest in some orange guest towels and soap, and add some twigs (paint them black for added oomph) in clear jars. Wispy strands of cotton for cobwebs add a deliciously spooky feel.
