Countdown to June
January
Look at seed catalogues and decide what to grow this year. Order bare root roses.
February
Plant roses. Sow seeds. Snow drops are up in the garden. It's spring!
March
Days are getting lighter. Pot up seedlings. The greenhouse is getting full.
April
Start planting out. Slug hunting at 5 a.m. The chickens love them for breakfast.
May
Plant out vegetables and bedding plants. Lots of weeding. First rose out.
June
The Village Garden Open Day is almost here. It looks beautiful but there is still work to do.
