Bring harvest style home—without the usual fuss and muss

To complement your modern country decor, design editor Ann Marie Favot created some easy harvest print-blocking projects—think of them as potato printing for grown-ups!

You’ll need:

  • Fabric paint or tempera
  • Dried pressed flowers or organic material (we used dried Queen Anne’s Lace for the pillow)
  • Fabric, pillow case or roll of white paper
  • Sharp knife and scissors

1.
Pour paint into a tray or a paper plate in a thin layer.

2. Press organic material or flower into paint and then firmly press onto paper or fabric to make an impression. You can create a repetitive motif by layering colours (we used red and bronze).

Tip: Practice making the print on scrap paper or fabric first to get the hang of it.
