To complement your modern country decor, design editor Ann Marie Favot created some easy harvest print-blocking projects—think of them as potato printing for grown-ups!
You’ll need:
- Fabric paint or tempera
- Dried pressed flowers or organic material (we used dried Queen Anne’s Lace for the pillow)
- Fabric, pillow case or roll of white paper
- Sharp knife and scissors
1. Pour paint into a tray or a paper plate in a thin layer.
2. Press organic material or flower into paint and then firmly press onto paper or fabric to make an impression. You can create a repetitive motif by layering colours (we used red and bronze).
Tip: Practice making the print on scrap paper or fabric first to get the hang of it.
