Paint it white
Patti used a classic decorating trick for displaying her colourful antiques. The almost-too-perfect vintage cabinet (shown above) that houses her pretty pastel Grindley and McCoy pottery wasn't always suited to show off such delicate pieces. In its original state, it was painted an "ugly old green."
Patti repainted it in her favourite neutral, Benjamin Moore's Decorators White, which is the perfect backdrop to let the texture of the piece speak for itself.
