For a holiday look that's glamourous and grown up, we turned westward to The Cross - a 5,000-square-foot slice of shopping heaven in Vancouver. Set in a heritage building in the Yaletown district, the shop is known for its exquisite decor items, as well as its visually stunning European-inspired displays. Here, stylist Heather Cameron and Home & Country senior design editor Nicola Marc teamed up with co-owners Darci Ilich and Stephanie Vogler to create rooms that capture the richness and warmth of the season in a gleaming palette of cream, pink and blue.

“Use the things in your home and mix them with new items,” says Vogler. “It's a playful look,” adds Marc. “Take summer vases and use them with elements that are more traditional.”
A flocked tree adorned with simple white lights makes a breathtaking but subtle statement. “It looks like you just took it out of a snowy garden,” says Vogler.
A Venetian mirror and antique chandelier from Belgium contrast with rich earthy touches: an exotic and thoroughly unexpected clamshell brims with cheerful paperwhites, while an intricate and ornate cross adds depth to the scene (top).
