Are the glasses you're pouring bubbly into on New Year's Eve antiques? Expert Judith Miller shows you what to look for

Look at the stem to see if it is plain or decorated. Stems may be moulded or faceted, with thin lines of other glass inside, and possibly could be coloured. Check whether a decorative knop—a swelling—is solid or hollow.
