It’s the calm after the storm. Everyone asks me if I’m relieved that the Style at Home show is over, and I have to say that the the feelings I’m having right now are kind of bittersweet. Yes, the show is demanding and tons of work, but do I EVER love seeing and meeting my readers. It’s amazing to meet people who read your magazine (and website!) and who know the content inside and out. It’s like having a ready-made focus group!
I was thrilled also to be able to spend time with Beauti-tone’s creative director, Bev Bell, who is one of my colour gurus (not to mention one of my favourite people!). We had an opportunity to “spar” over our favourite paint colour choices (of course all of mine were from the Canadian Home & Country paint colour collection that I developed a year ago).
But the best part of all? Working with my terrific team at Home & Country on the build and decorating of the area… I’m editing my photos as we speak and will be able to post some later this week. And I’ll give you the inside scoop on some of our styling secrets at the show. (Hint: only arrange flowers so they look good on one side - it will save you lots of $$$!)
