Feel the Loveby Suzanne Moutis |
It’s getting close to Valentine’s Day, and it’s time to think about what to do to make it special. First, let me tell you that I’m not a fan of Valentine’s Day as a day devoted to romantic love between you and your mate. If you’re in a romantic relationship, I think you should be showing your love on a regular basis. And if you’re not in a relationship, it’s just a drag of a day. I am a fan, though, of Valentine’s Day as a time to celebrate World Love, to set aside our differences and find happiness in what’s all around us.
So, on that note, I’m not going to advise you to make a CD with all your favourite love songs on it. Instead, I’ll touch on things that have universal appeal. Today, for example, I’m putting some change into every donation box I pass. BUT, I’m also switching up my winter decorating scheme of dark green and white to incorporate some touches of red. All over the world, red symbolizes action, energy, fire, life, passion, joy, health and strength—all good things for a freezing cold February day. So light up a red candle, add some chili peppers to tonight’s dinner and swap your plain white pillowcases for some scarlet ones to add a little spice.
